North West Stinging Bees claim 2020 NWWBL Title… Again!

The 2020 National Women’s Wheelchair Basketball League Champions are the North West Stinging Bees!

The ladies from the North West province have dominated the domestic leagues in recent years and the showed once again why they remain the premier Women’s franchise in South Africa, by totally outplaying a hapless Kwazulu Natal Warriors who limped back to KZN with the runners-up prize.

The tournament on a whole was a huge success as despite the last minute withdrawal of the major sponsor, there was a record participation in this the Women’s Premier competition and saw new franchises, the Limpopo LadyHawks and the Mpumalanga Bushbucks take part in their first ever competition.

This augurs well for the continual development of our women’s game and we look forward to further growth in 2021!
